Feral Pig hunting in the Northern Territory of Australia

Hunting feral pigs in Australia is almost a national past time. Pig numbers are prolific across the top end of Australia. As with all animal populations the density varies from area to area and their favourite habitat is the costal floodplain areas. Living here is easy and the average boar is between 80-100kg (200-220lbs). The biggest hog taken in 2010 was 160kg (350lb).

With large areas of floodplain within our concessions GOE can offer some of the Territories best hog hunting. Numbers vary each day with the later months of the year producing larger numbers of hogs as they become more concentrated, although clients can expect to see good herds and large boars each day at most times of the year.

We focus on getting large boars by spotting and stalking the animals. Clients can expect to get up nice and close to some huge feral hogs. Most animals are taken at close range (under 50 meters) and in most cases the animals are totally unaware of the presence of the hunter.

GOE employs a wide variety of tactics when hunting feral hogs. Fitness, mobility, past hunting experience and current skill level of the client as well as the current pattern of the animals are all considered before a tactical plan is put into place to go after the feral hog. As the conditions of the year vary so will the feeding patterns of the animals and the tactics employed to hunt them.

Whether you are experienced or a beginner GOE can cater to your needs. With good quality comfortable air-conditioned accommodation(not tented camps), Luxury 4x4'sand new Polaris Rangers, GOE is the best-equipped outfitter in the Territory.

Feral boar hunts are charged by the day with a daily allowance of up to 5 boars per person per day, price varies with the number of hunters and personal hunter's requirements please contact usto get an obligation free quote.
